Word frequency studies are generally used by linguists and educational scientists to reveal the frequency of use of words used in a language compared to each other. Countries try to teach their languages with the most effective and fastest method. In addition to teaching Turkish vocabulary and grammar to native Turkish speakers, foreigners, bilinguals or native Turkish dialects, using frequency studies during the preparation of basic dictionaries, bilingual dictionaries, reading books, speaking guides and grammar books, plays a role in the success of the teaching. For the Frequency Dictionary of Contemporary Turkish, which was prepared to contribute to achieving the aforementioned success, a text set of 316,889,320 words was created and it was determined how many times 65,534 different words were used in the text set. Afterwards, the first 2000 words and 100 compound words of this list belong to which language in terms of grammar, and then their meaning or meanings are given with example sentences.
